How Hard Is JavaScript to Learn HTML Comparison

The degree of difficulty in learning JavaScript depends on the level of knowledge you bring to it. Because the  most common way to run JavaScript is as part of a web page,  you must first understand HTML. In addition, a familiarity with CSS is also useful because CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) provides the formatting engine behind the HTML. Comparing JavaScript to HTML HTML is a markup language, meaning that it annotates text for a particular purpose and its human-readable. HTML is a fairly straightforward and simple language to learn.   Each piece of content is wrapped inside HTML tags that identify what that content is. Typical HTML tags wrap paragraphs, headings, lists and graphics, for example.  An HTML tag encloses the content within angle brackets, with the tag name appearing first followed by a series of attributes. The closing tag to match an opening tag is identified by placing a slash in front of the tag name. For example, heres a paragraph element: And here is the same paragraph element with an attribute title: JavaScript, however, is not a markup language; rather, it is a programming language. That by itself is enough to make learning JavaScript a lot more difficult than HTML. While a markup language describes what something is, a programming language defines a series of actions to be performed. Each command written in JavaScript defines an individual action —  which can be anything from copying a value from one place to another, performing calculations on something, testing a condition, or even providing a list of values to be used in running a long series of commands that have been previously defined. As there are lots of different actions that can be performed and those actions can be combined in many different ways, learning any programming language is going to be more difficult than learning a markup language. However, theres a caveat: To be able to properly use a markup language, you need to learn the entire language. Knowing part of a markup language without knowing the rest means that you cannot mark up all of the page content correctly. But knowing a part of a programming language means that you can write programs that use the part of the language that you know to create programs. While JavaScript is more complex than HTML, you can start writing useful JavaScript far more quickly than you might take to learn how to correctly mark up web pages with HTML. It will, however, take you a lot longer to learn everything that can be done with JavaScript compared to HTML. Comparing JavaScript to Other Programming Languages If you already know another programming language, then learning JavaScript will be much easier for you than it was to learn that other language. Learning your first programming language is always the hardest, because when you learn a second and subsequent language that uses a similar programming style, you already understand the programming style and  just need to learn how the new language sets out its specific command syntax. Differences in Programming Language Styles Programming languages have different styles. If the language you already know has the same style, or paradigm, than does JavaScript, learning JavaScript will be fairly easy. JavaScript supports two styles: procedural, or object oriented. If you already know a procedural or object-oriented language, you will find learning to write JavaScript the same way relatively easy. Another way in which  programming languages  differ is that some are compiled while others are interpreted: A compiled language is fed through a compiler which converts the entire code into something that the computer can understand. The compiled version is what gets run; if you need to make changes to the program, you must recompile the program before running it again.An interpreted language  converts the code  into something the computer can understand at the time the individual commands are run; this kind of language is not compiled in advance. JavaScript is an interpreted language, which means that you can make changes to your code and run it again straight away to see the effect of your change without having to recompile the code. Testing Requirements for Various Languages Another difference between programming languages is where they can be run. For example,  programs that are intended to run on a web page require a web server  that is running the appropriate language. JavaScript is similar to several  other programming languages, so knowing JavaScript will make it fairly easy to learn the  similar languages. Where JavaScript has the advantage is that support for the language is built into web browsers  Ã¢â‚¬â€ all you need to test your programs as you write them is a web browser to run the code in — and just about everyone has a browser already installed on their computer. To test your JavaScript programs, you dont need to install a server environment, upload the files to a server elsewhere, or compile the code. This makes JavaScript an ideal choice as a first programming language. Differences in Web Browsers and Their Effect on JavaScript The one area in which  learning JavaScript  is harder than  other programming languages  is that different  web browsers  interpret some JavaScript code slightly differently. This  introduces an extra task into JavaScript coding that several other programming languages dont need  Ã¢â‚¬â€Ã‚  that of testing how a given browser expects to perform certain tasks. Conclusions In many ways, JavaScript is one of the easiest programming language to learn as your first language. The way that it functions as an interpreted language within the web browser means that you can easily write even the most complex code by writing it a small piece at a time and testing it in the web browser as you go. Even small pieces of JavaScript can be  useful enhancements  to a web page, and so you can become productive almost immediately.

Evaluate Leadership Theory Mary Barra’s leadership style could be described as commanding when it came to the ignition switch recall (Murray, 2009). This is due to the fact that she allowed fifteen employees to take the fall for a mistake that had been known for a great deal of time. Rather than taking a more accountable approach when it came to leadership, she failed to be a strong, positive leader in this situation. Throughout the handling of the situation, including a town hall Barra held, she failed to be anything but a commanding leader. However, while she failed to act in what could be seen as an accountable manner when it came to the knowledge of this issue and having not been fixed in a timely manner, she was a visionary leader (Murray, 2009). These procedures are an attempt to take vagueness and give it some detail, but the gap filling detail is not much better than the original, thus the accountant can still be stuck, lost, not knowing how to account for a particular product, and not knowing at which time responsibility and risk for the product exchanges hands. The Sarbanes-Oxley Act was signed into law in 2002 by George W. Bush. The original thought behind SOX was to regulate the accounting profession, due to the greed that had resulted in huge economic crashes amongst top corporations such as Enron and WorldCom. SOX assisted in setting up regulatory organizations for each facet of the accounting process. These organizations are designed to ensure that accounting practices and auditing practices are ethical, legal and professional for public U. S. companies. Unfortunately, SOX does not regulate private companies, but private companies cannot create financial hardships for outside investors, so private companies are not in need of these type of regulations. Business Law I helped create an understanding amongst the students regarding what is actually expected of them once work as an accountant begins. A naive accountant would believe that all he or she needed to do was ensure that the data being entered in is correct and if not, fix it through a series of journal entries. However, after taking this class, it is apparent that this is an incorrect assumption. Understanding the civil and criminal liabilities that can be charged due to negligence or fraud, whether intentional or not, is incredibly important to accountants and CPA’s. Without understanding these potential problems, an accountant would not be able to understand the level of the problem, or be able to assess the gravity of the situation, whatever that situation may be. Even though accounting is a financial profession that takes the value of income, expenses, assets, and other items, and reports, analyzes, records and verifies these amounts, Business Law allows for the review of the profession in general. Accountants have to understand what is legally expected of them when working with client’s records and reports, and how these legal expectations can be brought upon them, and what their rights are. Without understanding the responsibility and risk that takes place for a company, an accountant would not understand why it is so important to establish ownership and when that particular ownership exchanges hands. Accountants also must understand what risks and responsibilities their particular profession run as well, and ensure that they are competently performing their jobs so that there is no question as to if an accountant was negligent, or was derilect in the performance of his or her duty. Question: Discuss about theElement of Trust. Answer: Introduction: According to the case study, a situation of disbelief is rising in the teaching college of Midwest. The problem is related to the graduate associates of the organization. Chris Walker who is a tenured professor in the college had faith on his graduate associates and took their help while grading exams. On the other hand, Judi wanted to change things and proposed that rules and regulations must be developed to ensure that graduate associates will not perform any serious task. Analysis After analysis the provided case study, it can be said that the case study relates with the Howard Jackson model for systematically developing trust and respect (Ashnai et al., 2016). According to Howard Jackson respect model, trust, reliability and respect can be gained through straight talk, listening for accepting and building commitments. In the case study, Chris wanted to trust the graduate associates and wanted them to perform tasks such as grading exams. He also stated that in most of the colleges, graduate associates are allowed to teach full time courses (Braun et al., 2013). Therefore, they can be trusted. However, Judi without conducting any straight talk with the graduate employees and without realising their commitments towards the organization wanted to limit the number jobs a graduate associate can perform (Sonea et al., 2015). Howard Jackson model of respect is a useful model that can help an organization to reach to their goals. It states that it trust is kept on an employee, does not matter how skilful he is, he will learn fast will perform accordingly. In the college, Judi showed a sense of disbelief on the graduate associates even though they were performing easy tasks such as grading the exams (Elahee Minor, 2015). This clearly indicates that the organization is not following the respect model of Howard and Jackson. Besides, if professors cannot outsource some of their jobs to graduate associates, then it will be tough for them to perform other jobs that strictly demand their skill and experience. Therefore, taking help from the graduate associates is also a time efficient matter. This is the reason that in the case study Chris is not supporting the idea of Judi and is ready to consult it with the higher authorities. After the meeting he also got support from a colleague who also believes that graduate associates should be trusted. Recommendation: After analysing the case study it can be stated that Judi and most of the board members do not want graduate associates to actively participate in serious jobs in the organization. On the other hand, Chris argued that graduate associates can easily perform tasks such grading exams which are objective type. Judi wants to develop some rules and regulations in order to prevent the graduate associates from taking part into active tasks. In this situation, it is recommended that Judi first of all must not implement any rules and regulations at the first place. She should discuss the matter with Chris who has experience in this scenario. Chris has experienced several situations where he saw that graduate associates are even teaching full time courses in the colleges. That means those associates are more than capable. Therefore, the organization in the first place must implement strategies which will identify and divide graduate associates based on their capabilities. It will help the organization to figure out which graduates are capable enough to grade exams. Graduate associates must be allowed to check grade exams as those are objective and answers are available for grading. It will allow professors to perform other tasks which cannot be done by the graduate associates. After the graduate associates have performed a task, senior professors should look into it in order to identify whether the task is done properly or not. This will not only help the professors to waste lesser amount of time in extra works but also will help graduate associates to gain trust of those professors. If such policies are made by Judi where graduate associates are not allowed to perform any type of grading related job, then Chris should take this matter to higher authority. Conclusion In the end it can be said that, currently Judi is not convinced at all that graduate associates can perform several tasks. She basically has not experience and idea about their capabilities and that is why she does not want to depend on them. However, Chris has faced such situations and knows that they can perform beyond expectation. However, as graduate associates are performing more complex tasks in other colleges, it can be said that Chriss arguments are correct and higher authorities must not limit the amount of task graduates can perform.
